For Crying Out Loud...
.. Isn't this the prettiest little vintage apron lampshade you ever saw? Created by Liz over at Camp Liz it's got me feeling the urge to undress all my own lampshades and dress them up in pinnies quite as floaty-like as this one... though sadly I don't own a lamp-base quite as eccentrically lovely as Liz's Eiffel Tower...

Alison,
Happy New Years Darling!
I hope you and little Finn are both doing well and enjoying all the promise of 2009.

Yes, that is darling...
My most recent attempt to "do something" with a lampshade ended in a disaster. Wonder if I could just tie an apron on to it and get away with it... Thanks for the link and the info.
I honestly think some people are just naturally good at things like this,I am not.I have tried,I once saw a picture of someones magnificent lamp shade, which was infact a toddlers floral skirt(boden or Laura Ashley probably)I scoured the charity shops and eventually found a tiny gingham skirt, which I then draped over my table lamp, guess what it looked like? yes indeed, a childs item of clothing carelessley draped over the lamp! Must try harder.
That is adorable! I have Eiffel Tower lamps too that I ordered on line a few years ago. They sell them at Target in the US now as well.
It's charming and so delightfully apron-y!
