My Little Invalid

The twisted ankle I mentioned yesterday? Well yes, that would be a broken foot, broke goodness knows how, but broken all the same, and the reason why my poor little chap spent an entire night sobbing softly in his sleep. And so we are confined to barracks again. And joy of all joys, Finn also has the kind of stomach upset that requires three visits to the loo every hour, and as the loo is upstairs, Mummykins here is thus required to throw her scrumptious little sack of spuds over her shoulder and lug him up there on demand as he is not allowed to walk... and to his joy, not allowed to bathe either. Bring on the board games! Oh and the valium if you please...

What? I turn my back for a moment and there you go having a darling Finn with a broken foot. Wish that I were closer, I'd pop over with a Ted E. Bear who also has a broken left foot and some board games and some books and some videos and some whoopie pies not to be confused with whoopie cushions. Hang in there, gang!

Oh no, poor Finn ... and poor you! Carrying the little chap up the stairs in a fireman's lift x-times a day can't be easy. As mothers we sometimes need the physical strength and stamina of top athletes.

Poor Finn! My oldest son broke his foot when he was twelve...he and his best friend signed up on a team of hot rope jumpers. The motivation for twelve year old boys being the rest of the female team! Poor fella landed wrong, broke his foot and was casted for almost eight weeks...he visited his Grandma over the summer and told wild tales about how the foot came to be broken...some of the stories included, rock climbing, water skiing, running, playing basketball, and riding a trail bike and hitting a tree with his foot...he still gets teased about the broken foot..

Poor Fin, Poor Mummy. My heart goes out to the both of you, but you most of all. They give the one with the broke bone pills to ease the pain but there are no pills to help you get him up the stairs. I'll keep you both in my prayers.

Hug fin for me and all of his 'net family'.
